PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: 30 August 2026

Last Updated: 30 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Skrumble Technologies, a proprietorship concern owned and operated by Rahul Shandilya, processes personal data in connection with ContaQ Live.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “ContaQ”, “ContaQ Live”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Skrumble Technologies.

Udyam Registration Number: UDYAM-DL-03-0085948

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the ContaQ Live website, web application, mobile applications, communication services and related services.

1. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

We recognise that personal information is important and should be handled responsibly.

We seek to:

  • collect only information reasonably required for legitimate purposes;
  • explain how information is used;
  • protect information using reasonable security measures;
  • avoid selling personal data;
  • provide mechanisms for appropriate privacy requests; and
  • retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary, subject to legal and security requirements.

Where applicable, personal data will be processed in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 and other applicable laws.

The DPDP framework requires, among other things, appropriate notice concerning the personal data being processed and the purposes of processing, and establishes rights and obligations relating to digital personal data.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending on how you use ContaQ, we may collect the following categories of information.

A. Account Information

This may include:

  • name;
  • mobile number;
  • email address;
  • account identifier;
  • username or profile information;
  • authentication information;
  • account status; and
  • information required to maintain your account.

B. Communication Information

To provide real-time communication functionality, we may process technical information associated with communications, including:

  • call identifiers;

  • timestamps;
  • network information;
  • device information;
  • connection quality information; and
  • technical diagnostics.

The exact information processed may vary depending on the communication feature used.

3. AUDIO AND VIDEO

ContaQ may transmit audio and video between participants to provide real-time communication functionality.

Where technically possible, real-time media may be transmitted directly between participants using peer-to-peer WebRTC connections.

However, network architecture may require communication through intermediary infrastructure, such as TURN or other relay servers, depending on network conditions and connectivity.

ContaQ does not claim that all communications will always be purely peer-to-peer.

Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, ContaQ does not intentionally use ordinary voice/video call content for advertising profiling.

4. CALL RECORDINGS

ContaQ does not automatically assume that communications are recorded merely because a call takes place.

If recording, transcription or storage functionality is introduced or enabled, the applicable feature documentation and user interface may provide additional information.

Users who record communications are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained all legally required consent and permissions.

ContaQ may retain recordings or related content where the applicable feature specifically provides for such storage.

  • diagnostic information;
  • timestamps; and
  • security-related information.

We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.

6. LOGS AND SECURITY INFORMATION

Our systems may automatically generate logs containing information about interactions with our systems.

These may include:

  • login events;
  • authentication events;
  • API requests;
  • error logs;
  • security events;
  • abuse indicators;
  • IP addresses;
  • timestamps;
  • device identifiers;
  • session information; and
  • other technical metadata.

Such information may be used to detect fraud, abuse, attacks, unauthorised access and other security threats.

Where we use third-party analytics providers, those providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own contractual and privacy requirements.

We seek to configure analytics systems so that unnecessary personal information is not collected.

10. LEGAL BASIS / LAWFUL PROCESSING

Where consent is required, we seek to obtain it through an appropriate affirmative mechanism.

Consent may be withdrawn where legally applicable.

Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain functionality where that processing is necessary for the functionality.

The DPDP Act provides that consent is to be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, with clear affirmative action, and limited to personal data necessary for the specified purpose.

ContaQ will use contact information only for the purposes described at the time the permission is requested and in accordance with applicable law.

You can generally revoke device permissions through your operating-system settings.

13. LOCATION INFORMATION

ContaQ does not require precise GPS location merely to provide ordinary communication functionality unless a specific feature expressly requires it.

We may nevertheless receive approximate geographic information from technical information such as IP addresses.

Such information may be used for:

  • security;
  • fraud detection;
  • service optimisation;
  • regulatory compliance;
  • analytics; or
  • general geographic reporting.

Some service providers used by ContaQ may process information outside India.

Where personal data is transferred, stored or processed outside India, ContaQ will take steps required by applicable law and contractual arrangements to govern such processing.

The location of infrastructure may vary as our technology architecture evolves.

17. ACCOUNT DELETION

You may request deletion of your account where the functionality is available or by contacting us.

Upon a valid deletion request, we will process the request in accordance with applicable law.

Certain information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, including information necessary for:

  • legal compliance;
  • security;
  • fraud prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • tax/accounting requirements; or
  • legal claims.

18. YOUR DATA RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal data, which may include:

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children beyond what is permitted by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires verifiable parental consent or additional safeguards for children's data, ContaQ will implement the measures required by that law.

If you believe a child has provided personal data to ContaQ unlawfully, contact us.

If ContaQ experiences a personal-data breach requiring notification under applicable law, we will take the actions and provide notifications required by applicable law.

We may also take reasonable measures to contain, investigate, remediate and prevent recurrence of the incident.

22. USER-GENERATED INFORMATION

ContaQ may process information transmitted by users to provide communication functionality.

ContaQ does not necessarily review, monitor or inspect every communication or item of User Content.

However, ContaQ may process, preserve, disclose or restrict information where reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Service;
  • investigate security incidents;
  • prevent fraud or abuse;
  • enforce our Terms;
  • respond to valid legal process;
  • comply with applicable law; or
  • protect users, ContaQ or third parties.

23. NO SALE OF PERSONAL DATA

ContaQ does not sell personal data to third parties.

We do not permit third parties to purchase user databases or personal information from ContaQ.

This does not prevent disclosures to service providers, legal authorities or other recipients expressly described in this Privacy Policy where such disclosure is permitted or required.

24. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

ContaQ may contain links to third-party websites, applications or services.

Those services are controlled by third parties and have their own terms and privacy policies.

ContaQ is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

You should review their policies before providing information directly to them.
